I live not far from a SR. Center, I love to go there and see what is being thrown away. This week was a great week for me. When I first pulled in I saw the spindles on this chair. Not sure the chair was whole, I still knew I wanted the spindles. When I got close I saw this beautiful chair. I called the grounds keeper over that I know and asked him if this was really trash......... I hit pay dirt. The more I looked the more I saw. The trunk is also a part of that trash pile. You know I will be going back there again.
Those are some amazing finds. I can't believe they were throwing them away. Way to go "picking" both. :-)
I think you might enjoy hooking up this post next week to Second Time Around Tuesday. I'm sure they would all love to see this. I have a link on my blog on the sidebar. A lady named Diane is the hostess for that. She puts one of the Mr. Linky things up on Monday so that everyone can share on Tuesday.
Hi I noticed that you are following my blog so I wanted to stop by and say hello.I love trash picking too. When I bought a Jeep Cherokee years ago my main criteria was that it had enough room in the back that I could load stuff that I found in the trash or at the side of the road!
Hi Sheila, I am still learning how to do this blog thingy, lol. But I will look into Second Time Around Tuesday, that really sounds like something I would love. Thanks so much for writing and letting me know. Barb
Ronda, First I want to say congratulations on the beautiful grandson. I love the picture of you holding him. I am giving you a thumbs up on trash picking. I have found a lot of great things going through trash, lol. I have a Toyota corolla, Jim calls it my Toyota pick-up. I put things in there you would never thought world of fit.
What a great "dumpster dive" find!! I've found some of my best treasures that way!!! The chair is so detailed and the trunk has so many possibilities!!! Can't wait to see what you do with them!!! Have a Blessed Day!!
